swaps

These are the swaps I recieved in exchange for the birdie ones I took last weekend. Boy was the weather horrible driving to get there. I wasn't going to let that stop me! No sir-ree. Coming home was a little better. I'll post the projects we made too. Be right back : )!

Cute Little Dress

I just made this sweet little dress for my youngest granddaughter, Bree. I 've been looking at so many awesome fabrics online and it gave me the sewing bug. She's gonna look so cute in it, I can't wait to try it on her. There's people waiting in line for more creations, so I better not get over this bug too quick! lol!
I used a Sandy Henderson pattern I purchased from http://sewlovefabrics.etsy.com/ . The fabric for this one I bought from http://fabricworm.etsy.com/. Both shops have super selections. It's been a while since I've sewn anything and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Party, Party, Party

So I went to one of my fav stores....Target. I needed to get a birthday gift for my daughter to give to her friend. This is what I came up with, what do you think? I bought the notebook for $1.39 and I had the rest of the stuff already!

Swaps

I've been up to my beak : ) in swaps this weekend. I can't get enough of this new set, Good Friend from the new Stampin' Up! idea and catalog book. Next Saturday I'll be attending a demo only stamp camp in Zeeland Mi. I love to go to events for inspiration. I used the texture plate for my Big Shot for the Pink Pirouette background. I stamped the bird in Pumpkin Pie and cut it out. Belive it or not, I really like to cut images out. Crazy! I made about 25 to take with me. I'll share what I get in return.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Brendon! We're celebrating Brendon's 12th Birthday today. I just can't believe how fast the time flies by. He's the oldest of my five grandchildren. Since I think he's a rock star, this card is just perfect for him! I made the star so he could remove it from the card to keep. If he wants to! I thought maybe he'd like to have a reminder of how wonderful I think he is. Is that too gooshy? LOL!!! Can they ever get enough kudo's? I think not.  Here he is Christmas day sneaking some bacon.
